Detoxing 101
I swear by detox baths. They are absolutely ah-mazing and super relaxing. Whenever I need time away from a stressful day they are the one thing I look forward to.
Now I want to tell you all about this wonderful health benefit.
Reasons for detox bathing: draws out all those nasty toxins, relieves stress, improves sleeping patterns, helps concentration, assists in relaxing muscles, and much, much more!
Mel's Favorite Recipes:
Number One:
1 cup of epsom salt
1 cup of baking soda
1 cup of apple cider vinegar (favorite brand)
15 drops of essential oil of your choice (my favorite is lavender)
Number Two:
1 cup of bentonite clay (I use this)
1 cup of apple cider vinegar ( I'm obsessed with this stuff btw)
Directions:
Put all ingredients in a bathtub as hot as you can handle. Soak for twenty minutes (If this is your first time, work your way up from 10 minutes, 20 minutes max). I always keep one glass of ice water and drink the whole glass while relaxing. It is important to stay hydrated!
After detox you will feel very relaxed and sometimes weak. Do this right before bed in order to continue the detox method through the night.

(ps. just a warning, *don't drink wine during the process of this detox. I learned the hard way that alcohol and detoxing do not mix!!!!)
